The family answer is to take the family for a very, very full day out at Fritton Lake - a wide variety of family attractions and entertainments set in acres of mature woodland along the banks of Fritton Lake - arguably East Anglia's most beautiful stretch of water and our 150 acre 'jewel in the Somerleyton crown'.
The lake is just four miles from historic Somerleyton Hall , whose 5,000 acre estate embraces Fritton Lake . And We do not allow dogs on the park.

Fritton Lake is packed full of activities to fill your day. There's boats, a large adventure playground, plenty of peaceful walks along the lake and in the woods, a 9 hole golf course... and much much more.

messing about in boats
Fritton Lake is one of the most beautiful stretches of water in East Anglia, extending two and a quarter miles from end to end and covering 150 acres.
Rowing boats and pedaloes are a great way to explore the lake. They can take up to five people. Buoyancy aids are provided. You can also enjoy a 20/25 minute guided tour of the lake on our electric- powered launch, The Bittern, and learn about the history and wildlife of the lake. All of the boats are free.

Youngsters will love driving our electric-powered tractors around the model farmyard (additional charges apply for this).
The beautiful and spacious grounds of Fritton Lake are a treat for the senses with the formal Victorian gardens, perfect for a stroll or a chance to simply sit and watch the world go by.
Follow our marked trail along the lakeside and through acres of natural woodland where at certain times of the season you will see the beautiful Chododendrons, bluebells and other wild flowers.
