New for 2010, the Somerleyton Estate is proud to introduce the brand new Oasis Lodge, designed in partnership with Pinelog for Fritton Lake.

More organic and natural externally and luxuriously comfortable inside, the oasis has a host of special features means it is exceptionally kind to the environment. Constructed using timber from sustainably managed forests, the Oasis is clad with hard-wearing and durable British larch wood, has a cedar shingle roof and breathable sheep wool insulation which require 90% less energy than mineral wool insulation to manufacture. Hot water is provided by the solar thermal system which not only reduces carbon dioxide emissions but can also significantly reduce water heating costs.  Inside, the attractive wood burning stove provides a carbon neutral method of heating the open plan living area and the fully fitted luxury kitchen boasts work tops made from bamboo – an environmentally responsible choice. Throughout the Oasis the windows are a floor to ceiling design which allows natural light to flood in. The three bedrooms reflect the same attention to detail, each with a stylish walk-in wardrobe.
