Art in the gardens 11am – 3pm Come and get creative in our art workshop marquee or just enjoy exploring the gardens and watching local artists at work. An exhibition featuring work by the Lowestoft Arts Centre will be on display in the foyer and several of the artists will be here working in various mediums and happy to share their tips. |

Teddy bear’s picnic and puppet show Best Dressed Bear Judged 1.30pm – Puppet Show 2.00pm Bring your Teddy with your picnic and he might win a prize for the best dressed bear. After lunch we will have a great children’s puppet show on the lawns for you to enjoy. The details of this year’s show will shortly be revealed. All included in our standard gardens admission price |

Jazz on the lawns 1.30pm – 4.30pm Put on your glad rags & pack some bubbly in the hamper !! The annual Jazz picnic is all set for a great Bank holiday afternoon. New for this year is the five piece “Hotjazz”, a traditional Dixieland band playing favourites of a golden era and back by popular demand are the Neil Kane Jazz Trio. This is a fantastic value day out – its all included in our standard gardens admission price !! Also available will be a fully licensed bar and our award winning caterers will be running the bbq and tea rooms throughout the day. |

Late Summer Supper A special invitation to experience a late summer supper at Somerleyton Hall. Arriving at 7.30pm, strolling through our magnificent gardens and arriving for drinks and canapés in the Sunken Garden, before heading into the Loggia for supper consisting of Leg of Somerleyton Lamb Baked in Hay and served with Dauphinoise Potatoes and Late Summer Vegetables, followed by Lemon Posset with Vanilla Shortbread, Coffee and Truffles, the meal will be accompanied by ½ bottle of wine and a glass of dessert wine. £60.00 per person.
