A really great pub in Somerleyton
The Duke’s Head is a public house & restaurant located in the pretty village of Somerleyton on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. Run by Tara Smyth & James Santillo since March 2018, The Duke's focusses on good food & great hospitality alongside well-kept beers & a straightforward wine & spirits list. There is dog-friendly bar with a woodburner & board games, a seperate restaurant with wrap-around windows & a large beer garden with views across the fields.
You might say we're the best pub in Somerleyton...
"Our menus are designed not only to be delicious & enjoyable but to subtly show you a time & place. This is why we believe the sourcing of ingredients is so important; we want you to be able to taste the dedication, love & quality of our purveyors, but also the time of year. Our menus may at times seem repetitive, with little fanfare or frivolity on the surface but dig deeper & you will access the reasons why & understand the building blocks of not only our menus but of us."
James Santillo, Chef & Owner
Parties of 6 or more guests are required to pay a £10.00 per person deposit at the time of booking which will be deducted from the bill at the time of dining. This is refundable up to 24 hours prior to the reservation.
