Somerleyton Hall and Gardens are now CLOSED for the 2020 season.
COVID-19: In accordance with the latest UK Govt regulations, Somerleyton Hall Gardens are OPEN. We look forward to welcoming our visitors safely back to our gardens and thank you for your support and patience. Please note the following new procedures:
- Gardens are currently only open on Thursdays and Sundays between 11am and 4pm (last entry 3pm). Areas within the gardens where it is difficult to maintain social distancing, such as the play area and Hall will remain closed
- The Hall & Tearoom are currently closed. You are welcome to bring a picnic but please take your rubbish home with you.
- Tickets can be brought on the day on arrival at the gardens. Card only please - no cash.
- Advance tickets. Please note Eventbrite will show sold out when you try to buy on the day. We have plenty of space so just come and pay on the day at the garden. Cold drinks available
- New plant sales area is now open. Purchases to be taken to the exit where they can be paid for by card.
Safety Measures
Our foremost priority remains the health and safety of our visitors and staff. The safety measures implemented at the gardens include:
- Face coverings must be worn through the entrance and shop and other enclosed areas.
- Separate entry and exit points
- Floor markings to indicate appropriate distances while queuing
- Screens at the entry and exit point to protect staff and visitors
- Hand sanitiser available to staff and visitors at strategic points
- Card transactions only – no cash payments

Opening Times
PLEASE NOTE TEMPORARY OPENING TIMES OF THURSDAYS AND SUNDAYS ONLY FROM 11AM-4PM (LAST ENTRY 3PM)
Our 2020 season runs from Thursday the 9th April to Sunday 27th September. The Hall and Gardens are open daily from 10am-5pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays. (Open Wednesdays for Garden’s only in July & August - no Hall tours).
Guided Tours
PLEASE NOTE. THE HALL IS CLOSED FOR THIS SEASON.
Entrance to the Hall is by guided tour only, tours last 45 minutes and run regularly from 11.30am until 3.00pm. Guided tours are available from Good Friday 10th April to Sunday 27th September on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.What's On

We try and pack the calendar with fun events from our Easter Egg Hunt to Jazz on the lawn and have special open days with several local charities we support.
We have many exciting events planned for 2020 so please take a look below to see what's coming up.

Outside Areas
All areas of the garden are accessible, although please be aware that paths are uneven in places. Lawns can be used for moving around.
Disabled Facilities
There are two disabled toilets at the top of Gardens and also in the Winter Garden.
Dogs
Sorry no dogs allowed except guide dogs.

Hall & Gardens Admissions
All tickets also include access to the Kitchen Garden Cafe, Maze and Gift Shop. RHS only valid May-August.
